250cc 4 stroke TZ for sale !!
This remarkable machine has been turning heads in Europe for a while and is
always a big crowd puller wherever it is shown or ridden. Did Yamaha ever
actually make a bike similar to this in an effort to combat the seemingly
invincible four stroke, multi-cylinder Hondas in the early to mid sixties? We
will probably never know the answer for sure, Yamaha have never admitted to it's
existence and probably never will!
The bike features an air-cooled 250cc four cylinder four stroke powerplant which revs to a heady 18,000rpm, shoe-horned into a TZ A model chassis and is said to make one hell of a loud noise through those megaphones when at full speed on a race circuit. Both Ralph Bryans and Tommy Robb have ridden it and came away most impressed as was ex-British Superbike rider Rob Butterworth after parading it at Donington.
